You know Metaaltechniek as a specialist wholesaler of sanding and grinding products. We regularly give toolboxes about those products, short courses on the work floor about the correct use and different applications of our sanding, grinding and polishing products. But did you know that we also give toolboxes in the field of safety?
We put together a safety toolbox in consultation with you. Full of topics of interest to you.
We also offer toolboxes in the field of safety. Safety is a broad concept. It is about awareness, inspection of machines, proper storage of abrasives. A safe culture is one where proactive steps are taken to eliminate potential hazards before they can do any damage. Where lessons are learned from minor and major incidents. Where people do not point fingers at each other, but each take their own responsibility.
- Safety starts at the source, even on the drawing board. Which connections do you choose: welds, tapes, glues, rivets, bolts? Each connection carries more or less safety risks.
- What is the situation with fine dust in production? What are the dangers and how can you protect yourself from them?
- Are the tools used in the way they were made for? Or is a cut-off wheel also used for burring? Is the well-known 1 mm cut-off wheel used to cut thick plates or do you use a thicker version?
- Of course you also look at the workplace. Is it clean, tidy and equipped with good extraction?
- And finally, are you using the right PPE? Does the fit of the safety goggles fit the shape of the face?
- Does the mask fit well? How do you test it? What type of dust mask do you choose, when do you replace it, are the masks stored dust-free?
- Which welding shield to choose, with or without fresh air system?
- Gloves: do you opt for single use or do you need more protection.
This list represents a selection of possible topics. In consultation with you, we put together a toolbox containing those topics that are of importance to you. The toolbox is given at your workplace and lasts approximately 1.5 hours. If desired, we give the toolbox several times.
