Welding edge preparation for steel

Applying a welding edge to steel quickly and cleanly can be done in a variety of ways. We list three possibilities with advantages and disadvantages.

• Deburring disc: traditionally a method used that works quickly.
• Lamella disc is slightly more flexible and therefore gives a nicer finish and works more quietly.
• The fiber disc works by far the fastest and is often the best choice. Work flat, tight, fast and quiet.
• If the weld is laid by a robot, a consistent finish is even more important. In that case, choose bending with a milling cutter and machine from Beveltools.
