The first training focuses purely on sanding, grinding and polishing metals.
Do you want to become the better in your profession? Deliver a beautiful product faster, more beautifully with less rejection and leave your colleagues amazed?
So have you ever thought about training in sanding and grinding? How quickly do you grind a weld flat, finish an inside corner weld, or bring a surface to a certain roughness? Maybe you didn't even know a course exists for that. Not surprising, because there are almost none of those either. But you've found us so now get on with it!
As common as it is to take regular refresher courses in welding, you don't see that much in the pre- and post-processing of the welding process. It's strange really, because the perfect weld starts with the perfect pre-processing. And the finishing process also has a substantial influence on the final result. To put it more broadly: sanding, grinding, finishing, in short machining metal is a craft. And as is the case with a craft, you have to do it many times before you really know the ropes of the trade. We do not claim that you can polish after one day with Metac. What we do claim is that you know what you're doing and can use that knowledge to get better and better.
Retaining these skills and knowledge is enormously important for an organization. In a time of rapid technological development, competencies such as problem solving ability and applying existing knowledge in a different way are becoming increasingly important. In this way, as a company you remain flexible and interesting for clients.
Technological developments require other competencies, such as problem solving skills.
In many metal companies experienced foremen share their knowledge with (new) colleagues, but how up-to-date is that knowledge, how do they keep up with the latest developments, do they have time to share that knowledge? Important questions that influence the quality of the work and therefore have an impact on the company as a whole.
The training of personnel in their field is also a requirement imposed by, for example, ISO. At the same time, it is a means of convincing potential clients that quality is being delivered within your organisation.
In practice, we see that often little efficient work is done in the workshop. The correct use of abrasives not only leads to savings in consumables, but much more important is that significant savings can also be made on man-hours. Investing in knowledge then immediately results in substantial savings!
Recent research indicates that 40% of the respondents use the wrong PPE. Besides PPE there are more factors influencing the well-being of production workers such as machine vibrations (whitefinger syndrome) and dust during sanding and grinding. These factors are mentioned and in practice we will also experience the differences between various products in this area.
Because healthy employees are a prerequisite for a company to exist, attention to safety is a natural part of all our trainings.
