What breathing system do I need?

First, inventory what hazards you want protection from. That determines the filter needed.

• For protection from only dust and nuisance fumes, a particle filter is sufficient and the black TR-300E is a good choice.
• If you need an A-filter against harmful gases and vapors, choose the blue TR-600.
• A-filter for use in explosive environments, then you need the yellow TR-800,. Similar to the TR-600 but it is also intrinsically safe.

What head and face protection are compatible with Versaflo?

For heavy industry, the M-306 or M-307 is a good option. This is a safety helmet with face seal where the M-307 is also flame retardant.

For paint shops, a visor helmet with face seal is sufficient, M-206 or M-207 (fireproof). The color indicates the difference: the black variant is a safety helmet and the gray/white protects only against impacts.

Cleaning Versaflo system

• You can clean the TR-300 with a damp cloth
• A special cleaning kit (TR-653) is available for the TR-600 and TR-800. This consists of sealing caps that allow you to immerse the motor for intensive cleaning.

Replace the pre-filter to preserve your particulate filter

The pre-filter or pre-filter 3MTR-6600 costs less than 2 euros but significantly extends the life of your more expensive particle filter! So replace this pre-filter regularly to save money!

The battery of a 3M Versaflo system

3M has two types of batteries for their Versaflo systems, a standard version for the TR-300 lasts 4.5-6 hours. The high capacity version has an operating time of 9-12 hours. For the TR-600, the values are 10-12 hours standard and 15-19 hours for the heavy Duty. The TR-800 only has a standard battery life of 5.5-7.5 hours. The charging time of all of them is around four hours.

Tip: With a charging bank for 4 batteries, you can charge your Versaflo batteries at one central point!

If you buy a starter kit, it always includes the heavy duty battery!
