The 3M Xtract CubitronII 710W discs are available from stock at Metaaltechniek.
3M supplies a wide range of types of abrasive discs:
Only one type was missing from this list: the mesh disc. A mesh disc is mainly used in places where dust-free sanding is required or on material on which other discs quickly clog up. Think for example of coated or painted products, primer sanding or composites. But it is also a perfect disc for woodworking.
The open structure enables perfect dust extraction. The CubitronII grain is known for its maximum stock removal and long service life. 3M has combined these two properties in the 3M 710W Xtract disc. Always use this disc in combination with a multihole backing pad so that the pad does not block the dust extraction.
Optimal dust extraction has a number of important advantages:
3M's mesh discs are available in three versions. The 3M Xtract 710W is the premium disc, the best in the range and available from July 2021. Two more variants, the 700W and the 310W, will be released at the end of this year.
You use the 3M 710W Xtract disc on an eccentric rotary sander. Check out our own brand pneumatic sander, the MT150ROTEX
The 3M 710W Xtract disc also lends itself perfectly to automated sanding processes with a cobot or robot due to its quality and sanding behavior. Take a look at the following video:
In addition to the 710W, 3M also markets a more economical variant, the 3M Xtract 310W series
Dust extraction and sanding performance go hand in hand with the 3M Xtract™ Mesh Disc 310W. This sanding disc comes from 3M's Advanced Series and, like the 710W, features a mesh backing for maximum dust extraction. 3M's well-known CubitronII grit is also used on the 310W disc, which guarantees lightning-fast material removal. On the 310W mesh disc, the PSG grit is combined with a high-quality aluminum oxide sanding mineral.
The 310W disc is available in different diameters and in grit 80+ through 320+.
