Chromium-6 is a familiar one in this story. The dangers are regularly pointed out when removing paint containing Chromium-6, for example. But Chromium-6 is not the only hazardous substance that many Dutch workers face. Wood dust, quartz dust, diesel and welding fumes also pose health risks. In total, 1 in 6 workers has to deal with potentially hazardous substances.
To raise awareness of the importance of working safely with these substances, the Ministry of SZW launched the Safe Working with Hazardous Substances campaign.
