How nice it would be to be able to do everything entirely in one's own ERP environment with as little administration as possible and as little chance of errors as possible.

Gatewise allows ERP systems to communicate with each other and read in documents.

With this request from our customers, we at Metaaltechniek decided late last year to implement the SCSN platform Gatewise from ECI Software of Leusden. This platform, developed specifically for the manufacturing industry, allows ERP systems to communicate with each other and read documents.

In very many cases, we receive the order orders by e-mail with a PDF attachment. These often come from an ERP system or are added manually as attachments. With a digital link, sending an e-mail is no longer necessary. You prepare the order in your ERP system and within a few minutes the order is placed on the server at Metaaltechniek and the order is read in.

Before the order is confirmed and packed, we check and approve the order. You receive the confirmation back via the online server. This is processed again automatically in your ERP system. This already saves two e-mails! Are the prices and delivery times correct and within the pre-entered dates? Then the order is processed automatically and you don't have to worry about it. Still a different value? Then you will immediately receive a message in your ERP system.

After your shipment is packed and registered for transport, you will already receive the packing slip digitally. This allows you to easily check and confirm the incoming goods and the packing note is always available digitally.

To complete the administrative circle, you also receive the invoice via the server and no longer in the mailbox. This is automatically read in, depending on your digital optimization of payments and the possibilities in your ERP system it can even be booked directly.

The basis of the implementation is a simple overview in Excel in which your article numbers are linked to the article numbers of Metaaltechniek. If you do not use your own article numbers you can use our article numbers, which is very convenient! Depending on your ERP system, prices and packaging quantities can also be read in immediately.

That may sound like a pretty complex and costly solution. And we hear you thinking: Can we do this as an organization? But the investment both in time and money is not that bad. Most ERP Systems are ready for this connection and have already been implemented several times, allowing you to use the platform quickly and easily.
