The MAC value, or limit value, indicates the maximum accepted concentration of a dust in the air. This determines the protection class of the mask, denoted by FFP (Filtering Facepiece Particles) coding.FFP1, FFP2 and FFP3 masks offer different levels of protection, with FFP3 masks providing the highest protection.
