Apply for one of four available spots in the Metac, the metal sanding and grinding training program for steel, aluminum and stainless steel.

METAC stands for METaaltechniek ACademy, our training center for the optimal use of abrasives. The goal is always to work faster. Because working faster cuts the knife on several sides:

  • Ensures lower production costs -> more competitive offering
  • higher production = more work done in the same time = higher sales with the same group of people
  • Partly a solution to the labor shortage
  • more job satisfaction. Because sanding and grinding are not known as very sexy. If you get it done faster and with a better result, your job satisfaction goes up.

Claim your spot in the METAC!

Theory and practice cannot exist without each other! So first into the classroom and after an hour and a half of hands-on practice.

The METAC is always taught in a small setting. This guarantees a lot of personal attention but also allows for fun interaction between participants and with the trainer. This way we learn from each other and you gain new inspiration.

Theory enables you to understand and adjust practice.

The training always starts with a part of theory. Think of explanation of the different grains, but also of what actually happens when you start grinding. From this knowledge we can explain many practical problems. Why does one disc work much longer and faster than another? Is the most expensive disc necessarily the best choice? Why is there a difference between a grinding wheel for working steel and a stainless steel wheel? Complete this list with your own questions....

Apply, motivate and claim your spot!

Your questions will determine whether you can secure a spot on the METAC

And with your questions, we come to the following:

We usually give a customized METAC to a metal processing company. They send a group of colleagues on training. With the executives, we discuss the needs and expectations in advance. With this, the training is full and tailored to the needs of that company.

However, we also get more and more requests from self-employed and hobbyists. Often they are enormously enthusiastic, eager to learn and feel like the proverbial kid in the candy store. What possibilities! And what questions it raises.... If one can do one thing, then maybe the next can too. And can I just try that too...? You can already feel it: we get too bogged down in details of one person and that is just not the intention, because that is to the detriment of the rest of the group.

We want the training to be valuable for everyone. That is why we ask you to send in your learning goals in advance. Then we can bundle participants with similar questions making it an interesting day for everyone. You can email your questions or applications and possibly clarify them with pictures or video.

We are also sensitive to your motivation: how important is sanding and grinding to you? Are you setting up a business, do you hire yourself out as a ZZP-er and is grinding work an everyday occurrence or do you enjoy working with your hands in your spare time and surprising yourself and others with something made of metal? We are curious as to why you would like to participate!
