There are various cutters available as a result of which virtually every angle can be rounded off with a Beveltools. Welding is and remains craftsmanship. Not everyone can just apply a nice, good and strong weld. In order to deliver the best results, it is important to have the best working conditions and the best tools. Metal bending is heavy and time-consuming work and the quality of the end result is instantaneous and personal. It's a necessary evil for a good weld, but who wants to work with a cutting torch, changing plates, deburring or lamellar disc? This has to be different. This is why Beveltools has developed two revolutionary concepts that make bending significantly faster, lighter and more accurate. In addition to a perfect end result, the concepts also provide better working conditions.

Consistent and accurate angle

Working with Beveltools products gives a consistent and accurate angle. Such an angle provides the optimum amount of welding addition required to meet specifications, resulting in a stronger welded joint.

Machine quality and pollution-free

In contrast to the current methods of chamfering (with cutting torch, laminated or deburring discs), working with Beveltools products does not contaminate the metal. This prevents entrapment in the weld, and thus rework, and results in a better weld seam.

No post-processing and no discolouration

When working with a cutting torch, finishing is often necessary before welding can be started and the heat causes discoloration of the material. Beveltools guarantees a low spark machining process in which hardly any heat is introduced into the material. 

Fast and flexible

Beveltools' machines are compact and light, making them easy to transport to the metal and use in a small space without much physical effort. Within a few seconds the machine is adjusted and in less than 45 seconds the milling heads can be replaced. A perfect chamfer is also achieved faster; on average, 1 metre of metal can be chamfered 8 mm deep within a minute and a half. 

Better working conditions

Working conditions are also improved through the use of Beveltools' products. Due to the low spark machining, hardly any heat enters the material. The machines are light in use and virtually vibration-free for the required chamfer. Because the milling heads cut through the metal, the machined material is large and heavy so it falls directly to the ground. No harmful dust particles and/or combustion gases are released. 

Finish

Proper and accurate rounding of metal is becoming increasingly important in industry so it is becoming clear that this is not the most appropriate job for deburring and flap wheels. With a solid carbide milling cutter you can round off more accurately and cleaner. Certainly not when it comes to rounding smaller holes. Sharp corners cause poor adhesion of paint or coating due to the limited adhesion surface in the corner. This leads to flaking of the paint or coating, which in turn leads to corrosion and causes the paint job to have to be redone.Because of PSPC standards for protective coatings, metal sheets must have an even radius. However, rounding all contours is often a time-consuming and inaccurate process.The team of specialists at Beveltools has therefore developed two unique concepts. These concepts guarantee fast and consistent rounding, whether it is an R2, R3 or R4.

The even radius of Beveltools' milling heads provides a larger adhesion surface for paint and coatings, reducing the risk of flaking and giving a professional end result.The machine with milling heads does the rounding work and, because it rests on the metal, can be guided along the metal with minimal physical effort. As a result, the radius can be applied with flawless consistency. In addition, no further through-hole protection for cables, wiring and/or conduits is required to prevent scuffing when the through-holes are rounded with Beveltools products.

Fast and flexible
The Beveltools concepts are hand-held, making them easy to bring to the metal. Rounding small holes as small as 18 mm in diameter thus becomes child's play. The compact design of the Beveltools concepts introduces unprecedented flexibility in the rounding of metal pipes and sheets.

No finishing When using a slat or deflashing disc for rounding off metal, finishing is often required. When using Beveltools products, the end result is smooth, flawless and consistent, eliminating the need for post-processing.

Scope of application:

Round off sharp edges with radius cutters

Rounding steel constructions well and accurately according to EN 1090, ISO 12944, ISO 8501 or IMO PSPC is important in the metal industry.

Rounding with a minimum radius of 2 mm is in many cases mandatory for good adhesion of coating or paint as protection against corrosion.

It is becoming increasingly clear that steel rounding is not the most suitable job for deflashing discs. Certainly not when it comes to rounding smaller holes.

Sharp corners cause poor adhesion of paint or coating due to the limited adhesion surface in the corner. This leads to peeling off of the paint or coating, which in turn leads to corrosion.

Metal rounding with Beveltools' milling tools ensures a smooth and consistent rounding of sheet, tube or hole. With these milling heads you can create the perfect radius as a basis for galvanisation, coating or paint.

Uniform quality

For both the NEN-EN 1090, ISO 8501, ISO 12944 and IMO PSPC standards, an even rounding with at least radius 2 is essential. Beveltools radius milling tools make a smooth rounding of metal in a single movement. The rounded edges provide an optimum bonding surface for galvanisation, paint and coatings. It reduces the risk of paint flaking and corrosion. In addition, in case of application in holes, no further penetration protection for cables and/or pipes is required.
