The History

In 1923 Albrecht Schnizler built the first hand drill. This "Metallbohrdreher" is the basis for the name Metabo. Today, the traditional company has 2,000 employees, 1,200 of them in Nürtingen, Germany. 25 subsidiaries and more than 100 representative offices ensure that Metabo's Premium solutions are available in all countries.

In addition to electrical and compressed air solutions, Metabo consistently pursues the vision of the cordless construction site and has a leading position in battery technology.

The battery technology offers the professionals more freedom and yet maximum power. In 2018 Metabo introduces the new LiHD battery packs with 4.0 Ah and 8.0 Ah. LiHD: the most powerful battery technology in the world: from 400 to 3,200 watts. The combination of new high-efficiency cells and completely newly developed components of the LiHD battery pack ensures that maximum performance is available for an extremely long time. Our new LiHD battery technology is yet another giant leap towards plug independence. The completely redesigned battery packs with high-efficiency cells provide up to 67 percent more power and thus enable completely new applications.

100% interchangeable. It goes without saying.
The most important advantage for you: the unlimited exchangeability! Since 2009, battery packs of every generation fit all Metabo cordless tools of their voltage class and every Metabo charger is suitable for charging all battery packs of the respective format and will remain so in the future.

CAS - Cordless Alliance System: the universal battery, interchangeable with various brands of machines

CAS started in the summer of 2018 with nine manufacturers of power tools and machines from different industries. Currently, the manufacturers Metabo, Rothenberger, Mafell, Eisenblätter, Collomix, Haaga, Electrostar (Starmix), Eibenstock, Steinel, Rokamat, Elried/Edding and Birchmeier are part of CAS. Within this battery system, which is unique in the industry, all machines from the CAS partners with a battery are fully interchangeable and can therefore be combined with each other. On the basis of the powerful Metabo LiHD battery technology, CAS brings together the various trades under one roof and thus offers professional users the freedom to work with standard and special products from various manufacturers, even independently of a power socket. When making a warranty claim, please enclose the original sales receipt with the date of purchase. Warranty repairs must only be carried out by an authorised Metabo Service Centre. Naturally, Metaaltechniek will gladly take care of all your repairs.

Our power tools have a long service life. Because they need to be repaired so rarely, Metabo has developed an additional guarantee for you - the XXL guarantee.
After you have registered, the normal guarantee is extended to 3 years. Prerequisite is the purchase receipt in combination with the XXL guarantee certificate, which you can download after registering your machine.
