Klingspor, for all your sanding belts and grinding materials

Klingspor: high-quality products for working on surfaces and cutting materials.

We hereby give you an overview of the most popular products. MetaaltechniekFor more information you can also visit the Klingspor website: www.klingspor.de.

Klingspor Rolls

Rolls of sanding fleece and sanding linen of different qualities on different carriers such as linen or paper. You can choose from various types of pellets, depending on the application. Always easy to tear off and available in a handy dispenser or divider.

Klingspor sanding belts

The range of sanding belts ranges from the smallest belt for use on, for example, a powerfile or other handheld machine to wide belts for large sanders. The combination of synthetically manufactured granules such as aluminium oxide, silicon carbide, zirconium corundum and ceramic corundum, the base materials paper, cotton, polyester fleece and mixed carriers and the binding materials for the force transfer between the abrasive grain and the base material are specially developed for the respective materials.
Another significant factor is the weld of the tape. Klingspor also has various connection options here, so that you can always choose the optimum tyre for your application.

Klingspor Fiber Discs

Klingspor carries a wide range of fibre discs in various punching shapes for different types of machines and for applications on steel, (non-ferrous) metals, plastic, stainless steel and wood. Due to the many grain types, it is possible to choose the right tool for every application. The Klingspor fibre discs are ideally suited for coarse grinding, deburring and machining welds.
ST358A is a pad specially developed for coarse sanding work. Due to the hard ribbed grinding surfaces, the pad provides cooling, has a high temperature resistance and provides a stable grinding pattern.

Goring strips, sheets and discs

The Klingspor strips and sheets are universally applicable for manual sanding and for use on hand sanding machines. There are strips, discs and sheets for machining different materials, for wet or dry sanding. The sanding sheets and strips are available on a paper or linen backing and can be ordered with various punching forms. In addition to the standard dies, other dies are available on request.
The sanding discs are also available on film backing for a tight finish and in a non-woven version.
Of course, the accessories are also available for various hand applications.

Klingsport lamella discs

The Klingspor lamella discs are made up of three components that are perfectly matched to each other for maximum performance. Due to the specially developed sanding lamella, the lamella discs are suitable for use on high speed angle grinders. The glass fibre carrier is the most common, but is also available as a glass fibre reinforced plastic carrier.
Compared to belt applications, the abrasive on lamellar discs is exposed to much higher loads. The sanding speed is 2 to 2-1/2 times higher. At the same time, care must be taken to ensure that the underlayer wears off properly, so that unused pellets appear again and again. Therefore, choose the disc that, in combination with your machine, gives the best results on your specific workpiece.
Use a flat disc for flat sanding and the tapered version for machining edges and welds.

Klingspor cut-off wheels

The quality of a cut-off wheel is determined by the optimum combination of resin, filler and grain type for high aggressiveness, excellent service life and speed of work.
TIP: In order to continue to guarantee the quality of the disks, even after a few months of storage, it is important to keep the disks dry and at a constant temperature. Moisture, in particular, can significantly reduce tool life.
TIP: When used at too low a speed, the cut-off wheel will tend to jump, causing the wheel to wear unevenly. When applied to thin sheet, the grain will be torn out of the joint and will wear excessively quickly.
If used at too high a speed, your safety is endangered by the risk of breaking the cut-off wheel.
TIP: Apply enough pressure to keep the cutting time short and prevent overheating (discoloration!) of the material to be machined. If there is too little pressure, the cut-off wheel will burn and performance will deteriorate rapidly.

Klingspor deflashing discs

TIP: As with cut-off wheels, the rule of thumb also applies to grinding wheels: the harder the material, the softer the abrasive disc bond must be. In addition to the material, the processing also plays a decisive role. Do you want to work corners and burrs? Then choose a hard bond because of the sharp edges. Then the grains are pulled out of the bond less quickly. When machining welds, choose a slightly softer disc. A hard drive that is too hard can easily become blunt. At Klingspor you can find the hardness of the disc in the type number: The letter at the end of the type designation indicates the hardness. The letters N R S T are used, where N is a soft version and T is the hardest version.
A deflashing disc is used at an angle of 25-30 degrees.

Type designation and meaning

As an example of the structure of the type designation we use A 24 TX Special
The 1st letter stands for the type of grain: A = Aluminium Oxide, C = Silicon Carbide, Z = Zircon
The next number stands for the grain size: 16, 24, 30, 36, 60, 80 etc
The 2nd letter stands for the hardness: N, R, S, T where the N is the softest variant rising in hardness to T (in this example Extra Hard = TX)
The code is concluded with an indication of the performance class: From standard quality Extra, via Supra to Special. With indication special you have the top product of the range in your hands!
