Klingspor Rolls

Klingspor rolls of sanding fleece and sanding linen of different qualities on different carriers such as linen or paper. You can choose from various grains depending on the application. Always easy to tear off and available in handy dispenser or divider.

Klingspor sanding belts

The range of sanding belts extends from the smallest belt for use on a powerfile or other handheld machine, for example, to wide belts for large sanders. The combination of synthetic manufactured grit types such as aluminum oxide, silicon carbide, zirconium corundum and ceramic corundum, the base materials paper, cotton, polyester fleece and mixed carriers and the bonding materials for the force transfer between the abrasive grit and the base material are developed specifically for the respective materials.
Another factor of significance is the bond weld. Here, too, Klingspor has various bonding options, so that you can always choose the optimum bond for your application.

Klingspor Fiber Discs

Klingspor carries a wide range of fiber wheels in various die shapes for different types of machines and for applications on steel, (non-ferrous) metals, plastics, stainless steel and wood. Because of the many grain types, choosing the right tool for each application is possible. Klingspor fiber wheels are ideally suited for coarse grinding, deburring and machining of welds.
ST358A is a pad specially developed for coarser sanding work. Due to the hard ribbed grinding surfaces, the pad provides cooling, has a high temperature resistance and gives a stable grinding pattern.

Goring strips, sheets and discs

Klingspor's strips and sheets are universally applicable for manual sanding and for use on hand sanders. There are strips, discs and sheets for machining different materials, for wet or dry sanding. The sanding sheets and strips are available on a paper or linen backing and can be ordered with various die cuts. In addition to the standard die cuts, other die cuts are available upon request.
As for the sanding sheets, they are also available on film backing for a tight finish and in sanding fleece versions.
Of course, accessories are also available for various hand applications.

Klingsport lamella discs

Klingspor's flap discsare made up of three components that are perfectly matched to each other for maximum performance. Due to the specially developed abrasive flap, the flap discs are suitable for use on high-speed angle grinders. The fiberglass backing is the most common, but is also available as a fiberglass-reinforced plastic backing.
Compared to belt applications, the abrasive on flap discs is subjected to much greater loads. The sanding speed is 2 to 2-1/2 times higher. At the same time, care must be taken to ensure that the underlayer wears down appropriately, so that unused grains emerge each time. Therefore, choose the disc that in combination with your machine gives the best results on your specific workpiece.
Use a flat disc for orbital sanding and the tapered variety for machining edges and welds.

Klingspor cut-off wheels

The quality of a cut-off wheel is determined by the optimum combination of resin, fillers and grain type for high aggressiveness, excellent life and speed of work.
TIP: To maintain the quality of the wheels even after a few months of stocking, it is important to store the wheels dry and at a constant temperature. Moisture in particular can significantly reduce tool life.
TIP: If used at too low a speed, the cut-off wheel will tend to jump, causing uneven wear. When used on thin sheet metal, the grain will be torn out of the joint and will wear excessively fast.
When used at too high a speed , your safety is jeopardized by the risk of the cut-off wheel breaking.
TIP: Apply enough pressure to keep the cutting time short and prevent overheating (discoloration!) of the material being cut. If too little pressure is applied, the cut-off wheel will burn up, causing a harsh deterioration in performance.

Klingspor deflashing discs

TIP: As with cut-off wheels, the rule of thumb also applies to deburring wheels : the harder the material, the softer the abrasive disc bond should be. In addition to the material, machining also plays a decisive role. Do you want to work on corners and burrs? Then, because of the sharp edges, choose a hard bond. Then the grains are less likely to be pulled out of the bond. For machining welds, choose a slightly softer disc. A disc that is too hard can easily become blunt. At Klingspor, you can find the hardness of the disc in the type number: The letter at the end of the type designation indicates the hardness. The letters N R S T are usedit, where N is a soft version and T is the hardest version.
A deburring disc is used at an angle of 25-30 degrees.

Type designation and meaning

As an example of the structure of the type designation we use A 24 TX Special
The 1st letter stands for the type of grain: A = Aluminium Oxide, C = Silicon Carbide, Z = Zircon
The next number stands for the grain size: 16, 24, 30, 36, 60, 80 etc
The 2nd letter stands for the hardness: N, R, S, T where the N is the softest variant rising in hardness to T (in this example Extra Hard = TX)
The code is concluded with an indication of the performance class: From standard quality Extra, via Supra to Special. With indication special you have the top product of the range in your hands!
