Employee Warehouse & Logistics
Hey warehouse worker, do you like accurate and responsible work? Are you not afraid to use your body as well as your brain? Then read this vacancy quickly!

Would you like to work in the warehouse of a leading technical wholesaler in Amersfoort? Do you get satisfaction when at the end of the day you can deliver six to eight roll containers to the postal service, full of neatly arranged packages for our customers in the metalworking industry? Then you remember what today's 12,000 steps were good for. All incoming goods are back on the shelves, the orders and backorders have been printed out and shipped, and the inventory in the computer is up to date again. You throw a few darts at the dartboard, wish your five closest warehouse colleagues a good evening, and contentedly cycle home.
If this appeals to you, read on quickly!
As a warehouse worker, you are an important link between the sales department and the customer.
Our new warehouse employee will be doing the following:
- Accept incoming goods, check, sort and then clean up in the warehouse.
- Picking, checking and preparing orders for shipment. These can be small parcel shipments as well as larger pallet shipments.
- Repareren en onderhouden van de handmachines van onze klanten? Kijk hier maar om een indruk te krijgen van welke machines dat zijn.
- Administrative operations such as inventory corrections, warehouse counts and returns booking.
- Provide a tidy and clean work environment
- If you have a forklift certificate, that's a plus. Otherwise, Metaaltechniek will offer you training for that if necessary.
You will be working in the warehouse at Metaaltechniek. Good to know:
- Our 2,000 m2 warehouse holds approximately 12,000 items. Its management is a joint responsibility of six people.
- Physically, this work demands quite a bit from you. The work will be divided up so that your work remains varied and the physical strain is spread over the colleagues and throughout the day.
- Metaaltechniek plans to grow significantly in the coming years. That presents logistics challenges in terms of automation and perhaps an entirely different way of working. Plans in the areas of WMS, location system and internal transport are already in the pipeline for 2023. As a key user of these systems, you naturally have input on implementation and use of this software and hardware.
- This is a full-time position for 40 hours per week. Regular working hours are from 8:30am to 5:00pm.
Hard work may be well rewarded. This can be in money but also in other conditions that you consider important!
For this great position, you will receive a good salary and we have attractive benefits. There are also opportunities for special rewards in the form of a 13th month and a non-contributory pension. There are also many opportunities for further learning if you wish.
